Boundary management preferences from a gender and cross-cultural perspective
The impact of suicide registers and other monitoring systems on suicide prevention: A scoping review
BACKGROUND: Decreasing suicide mortality has become an overarching goal for societies worldwide. Suicide registers and other monitoring systems are a valuable source of information that can be used for addressing the suicide phenomenon and evaluating preventative interventions. AIMS: This scoping review provides an overview of literature published in the last decade that has focussed on the operations (functioning) and characteristics of suicide …
Psychological ownership: A review and research agenda
The concept of psychological ownership (PO) reflects a state in which individuals feel as though the target of ownership (e.g., job or organization) is theirs. In recent years, there has been an expansion of research linking PO with a range of desirable employee attitudes and behaviors. However, the theoretical foundations of the construct, its measurement, the factors that influence its development, and when and how it influences outcomes are ar…
Providing mental health first aid in the workplace: A Delphi consensus study
The guidelines outline strategies for a worker to use when they are concerned about the mental health of a co-worker or employee. They will be used to inform future tailoring of Mental Health First Aid training when it is delivered in workplace settings and could influence organisational policies and procedures

Fathers at Work: Work–Family Conflict, Work–Family Enrichment and Parenting in an Australian Cohort
Contemporary fathering is characterized by the combined responsibilities of employment and parenting. Relationships between work-family conflict, work-family enrichment, and fathering behaviors have not been widely investigated. Secondary data from fathers of 4- to 5-year-old children participating in the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children were analyzed ( N = 2,679). Results revealed that higher work-family conflict was associated with irr…
Maternal Work-Family Conflict and Psychological Distress: Reciprocal Relationships Over 8 Years
The relationships between employed mothers' work-family conflict and psychological distress are unlikely to be static or one way. Using longitudinal data, the authors investigated reciprocal effects between work-family conflict and psychological distress across 8 years of the family life cycle. They modeled cross-lagged structural equations over 5 biennial waves of data, in 4 overlapping samples of Australian mothers reentering work between child…
Does workplace health promotion contribute to job stress reduction? Three-year findings from Partnering Healthy@Work
For women, comprehensive WHP availability contributed to a sense of organizational support, potentially impacting the esteem component of reward. Men with higher WHP participation also benefitted but gains were modest over time and may have been hindered by other work environment factors
Advancing conceptualization and measurement of psychological capital as a collective construct
Psychological capital (PsyCap) has been conceptualized as an individual-level construct concerned with an employee’s state of positive psychological development. However, research has now started to examine PsyCap as a collective phenomenon. Although positive associations between team-level PsyCap and team-level functioning have been demonstrated empirically, there has been limited synopsis regarding the theoretical and measurement foundations of…
What matters for working fathers? Job characteristics, work-family conflict and enrichment, and fathers' postpartum mental health in an Australian cohort
Prevalence and correlates of psychological distress in a large and diverse public sector workforce: Baseline results from Partnering Healthy@Work
Depression and anxiety screening using typical employer survey methods could overestimate prevalence but expected correlates are observed in a screening setting. Guidance for employers on screening and interpretation should be provided to encourage engagement with mental health prevention and treatment programs in the workplace
