Moving Knowledge into Action Through Communities of Practice
This monograph reports the results of a three-year multiple case study of nine knowledge-to-action (KTA) initiatives mobilized in communities of practice (C0Ps) operating in Ontario's seniors' health system. A multiple case study design was used to conduct nine case studies through a combination of case study and ethnographic methods. An Alternative Approach to Estimating Foreclosure and Short Sale Discounts
Current research documents astonishingly large price discounts for foreclosures and short sales. However, such outsized estimates may largely be due to omitted variables bias. We propose an innovative methodology relying on appraisers’ ability to match properties along both observable and unobservable attributes when performing appraisals. Supporting successful communities of practice for older adults
Communities of Practice (CoPs) are a powerful strategy for supporting knowledge sharing amongst members working in a common field. Information, knowledge and evidence in the field of older adult healthcare and aging have grown exponentially over the past decade. This paper examines lending by a Genoese‐led cartel to philip II of Spain (1556–98) from the perspective of theory on sovereign debt. Models in this literature suggest that the Genoese linked specie deliveries from Spain to the Low Countries to lending in order to create a penalty to enforce their loans.
