The Lomeé Convention
The primary purpose of this article is to offer a critical, multifaceted evalution of the economic assistance extended by the European Economic Community (E.E.C.) to the African, Caribbean, and Pacific Group of states (A.C.P.s) under the terms of the Convention of Lomé. The Lomé Convention
This paper attempts a multifaceted evaluation of E.E.C. aid to the ACP states under the terms of the Convention of Lomé. In way of introduction a brief outline of the Lomé Convention is offered. The analysis then commences with a definition of E.E.C. aid, followed by an examination of the issues of additionality, the real value of aid and aid privileges.
