  • The moderating effect of self-esteem in reaction to voice: Converging evidence from five studies

Joel Brockner, Larry Heuer et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Personality and Social…•1998•Cited by: 37

It has been posited that high self-esteem persons (high SEs) are more confident than low self-esteem persons (low SEs) of their capability to provide meaningful input in a decision process. If this is so, then high SEs should be more influenced by their perceived level of voice, relative to low SEs. Survey data from 4 field studies showed that voice was more positively related to various dependent variables among high SEs than low SEs. In Study 5…

Both studies revealed similar Job C…

Steven A Grover, E Francis Cook et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Public Health•1988•References: 10

In an analysis of 23 sex-specific tumors in the Connecticut Tumor Registry, only seven tumors showed more than a 20 per cent increase in the ratio of localized tumors detected post-Medicare (1967-75) versus ante-Medicare (1960-65) in the 65-75 year age group compared to the 60-64 year age group. Of these seven, the information was more convincing for lung cancer in males. Overall, however, Medicare had little if any impact on early tumor diagnosi…
