Mechanisms of Deng-Shi-Qing-Mai-Tang in alleviating PM2.5-Induced lung Injury
Patterns and predictors of post-traumatic growth and fear of disease progression in breast cancer patients
This study suggests that there is heterogeneity in the PTG and FOP patterns in breast cancer patients. It provides a research basis for promoting the psychological recovery of breast cancer patients and highlights the importance of focusing on the positive effects of PTG while mitigating the negative impact of FOP. Healthcare providers can implement targeted nursing interventions based on the different patterns observed in breast cancer patients
Novel mechanisms of Anshen Dingzhi prescription against PTSD
Our data indicate that DCC is a key target for the regulation of synaptic function and inflammatory response in the onset of PTSD, and ADP likely reduces DCC to prevent PTSD via modulating downstream Rac1-PAK1 pathway. This study provides a novel mechanism for the onset of PTSD and warrants the clinical application of ADP
Israel’s Domestic Policy on Islam-Related Issues
Since its independence in 1948, Israel’s policy on Islam-related issues has long been subordinated to its Arab minority policy. Policy priorities that focused on land resource deprivation and security risk avoidance and its multiple mechanisms for policy implementation highlighted a strategy of securitisation and pragmatism. Since the 1990s, the ascendance of right-wing forces drove Israel’s Islam-related policy towards a tougher line, with its c…

A Survey of Rural Residents’ Perception and Response to Health Risks from Hot Weather in Ethnic Minority Areas in Southwest China
Ethnic minority areas in southwestern China are facing frequent high-temperature heatwaves. The health risk perceptions and responses of the local residents need to be investigated in order to formulate public policies to mitigate the impacts of climate change on health. In this study, a household survey was conducted in Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing from January to February 2019. A total of 624 local residents were sampl…
The Role of Nitric Oxide in the Antidepressant Actions of 5-Aminoimidazole-4-Carboxamide-1-β-D-Ribofuranoside in Insulin-Resistant Mice
OBJECTIVE: Depression and Type 2 diabetes mellitus are interrelated conditions, but the underlying neurobiology is insufficiently understood. The current study compared the effects of a pharmacological manipulation with 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide-1-β-D-ribofuranoside (AICAR) that targets neurobiological processes by adenosine 5'-monophosphate-activated protein kinase activation versus exercise on depression-like behavior and nitric oxide (NO)…
