This article presents and analyzes the reception of Thomas Luckmann’s book, The Invisible Religion, in the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Although the book was generally well regarded, it did not result in a significant shift in focus among sociologists of religion in the region. Artikkelen drøfter de to metodekonsepta Filosofisk samtale (FS) og Tren tanken (TT) som utforskende metoder i lys av læreplanens krav om utforsking som sentral metode i grunnskolens KRLE-fag. Vi argumenterer for at vurdering av alle arbeidsmåter i KRLE må ta hensyn til de spesielle danningsutfordringene som dette faget står i, særlig lærerens balansering mellom engasjement og varsomhet.
