  • Industrial Processing versus Home Cooking

Ulf Sonesson, Berit Mattsson et al.•ARTICLE•AMBIO•2005•Cited by: 2

Today there is a strong trend in Sweden for industrially processed meals to replace homemade meals. In the public debate this is often claimed to increase the environmental impact from foods. In the study presented in this article, we used life-cycle assessment to quantify the environmental impact of three meals: homemade, semiprepared, and ready-to-eat. Thomas Ohlsson•ARTICLE•Transactional Analysis Journal•2002

Transactional analysis group psychotherapy combined with residential milieu therapy has been used for 25 years as a treatment method for abusers of heavy drugs. To evaluate the results, 10 therapeutic communities (TCs) were studied in 1990–98. All transactional analysis therapy for 67 clients at 7 TCs was documented during 20 months by the clients and 43 therapists. The clients had 1 to 168 therapy sessions (mean 64). There was follow-up after tw…

  • Two Ways of Doing Regressive Therapy

    Thomas Ohlsson•ARTICLE•Transactional Analysis Journal•1998

Regressive transactional analysis therapy has, until now, primarily been associated with highly emotional work in which various expressive techniques are used in group settings. This article highlights how the therapist-client relationship can be used directly for understanding and doing a more basic form of regressive therapy. It is argued that transactional analysis proper—which is based on the author's understanding of Berne's original ego sta…

  • A “Mandala” Model of the Adult Ego States

    Thomas Ohlsson•ARTICLE•Transactional Analysis Journal•1988

Adult ego states are seen as qualitatively different from Child and Parent ego states. The relationship between psychic organs and ego states is explored, and a new theoretical model for Adult ego states, the mandala model, is offered. The model's implications for ego state diagnosis are discussed, and the historical aspect of diagnosis is suggested as an important dimension in differentiating between Adult and Parent/Child ego states
