    Open Access•Herman Steensma•ARTICLE•Social Justice Research•2023

In this paper, several aspects of social justice research are reviewed to analyze the current state of the field and to suggest refinements and new directions. • Voluntary employee turnover

Open Access•Wim van Breukelen, René van der Vlist et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Organizational Behavior•2004•Cited by: 22•References: 17

In this study we tried to answer the question of whether the three predictors from the theory of planned behavior provide a satisfactory explanation for intentions and behaviors in the context of voluntary employee turnover. • Reactance to Perceived External Pressure to Introduce Quality Assurance Standards in Organizations

    Open Access•Herman Steensma, Diederik Erkel•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1999

In a telephone survey, 50 managers were interviewed about ISO quality certificates, i.e., certificates which guarantee that products and processes meet prescribed standards. Most measures were single-item scores. Perceptions that other organizations exert pressure to certify may lead to psychological reactance but did not co-vary with striving for higher quality management (Total Quality Management, TQM). Striving for TQM correlated significantly…

  • Protestant Work Ethic as a Moderator of Mental and Physical Well-Being

    Open Access•Marjan J Gorgievski, MARJAN GORGIEVSKI-DUIJVESTEIJN et al.•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1998

This study tested hypotheses about effects of the Protestant Work Ethic on mental and physical well-being. The Protestant Work Ethic was expected to enhance mental and physical well-being and buffer response to adverse work conditions. Blue collar workers (N = 115) filled out questionnaires. As predicted, workers with high scores on a Protestant Work Ethic scale are more satisfied with their jobs than workers with low scores. General health compl…
