  • Adolescent risk behaviours are associated with educational attainment in early adulthood

Open Access•Petra L Graham, Deborah Schofield et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Absence of health risk behaviours at a younger age or later commencement was associated with higher educational attainment. Evidence-based interventions that address the societal influences underpinning risk behaviours in adolescents may support longer school retention

  • A global review of urban blue-green planning tools

Open Access•A Chathurika S Perera, Alex Perera et al.•ARTICLE•Land Use Policy•2024

State, city and local governments use environmental planning policies to guide development outcomes. METHOD: We used data from the Raine Study, a prebirth cohort from Perth, Australia, to assess the relationship between measures of common mental health or behavioural conditions (Child Behavior Checklist Internalising and Ext…

This study uses anger counts derived from Twitter posts (tweets) and assault counts in New South Wales, Australia, to investigate if they share a similar relationship with temperature, and to determine if online anger is a predictor of assault. Results indicated that the relationships were largely inverse—assault …
