  • Provenance and fluvial-aeolian process of the late Pleistocene Houtian sand hills in Poyang Lake area, south China: Constrained by detrital zircon U–Pb geochronology

Open Access•Dingding Du, Shuyuan Tian et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2026

  • Astilbin from Smilax china L. remarkably inhibits LPS-induced endometritis in rats via blocking positive feedback between TLR4 and IL-6R signalling pathways in a PPAR-γ-dependent manner

Open Access•Haixing Feng, Chunni Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

Overall, our results demonstrated that ATB can significantly inhibit endometritis in rats, presumably through interfering with NF-κB and STAT3 signal transduction in a PPAR-γ-dependent manner, blocking the positive feedback between NF-κB and STAT3 signalling. Our findings provide new evidences for developing the ATB, the main compound identified from FSCR, as a potential therapeutic agent for endometritis.

The underlying context is the socialization and gamification of exercise during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the theory of SI and the technology accep…

  • Cesarean delivery on maternal request and common child health outcomes: A prospective cohort study in China

Open Access•Keyi Si, Ke-yi Si et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Global Health•2022

Background: Cesarean delivery vs vaginal delivery was reported to increase the risks of childhood obesity, pneumonia, anemia, and neurobehavioral disorders, but few studies were able to deal with the confounding biases associated with medical conditions indicating cesareans. This prospective cohort study aims to investigate the associations of non-medically indicated cesarean delivery on maternal request (CDMR) with these child health outcomes. M…

  • Passive Smoking and Risk of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus among Nonsmoking Women: A Prospective Cohort Study in China

Open Access•Jigen, Huiting Chen et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Background: Increasing evidence has shown that active smoking can increase the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), but the effect of passive smoking is still unknown. Women in pregnancy are vulnerable to secondhand smoke. This study explored the association of passive smoking with GDM in China. Method: A total of 3083 nonsmoking pregnant women living in Beijing were recruited into a prospective cohort study. Sociodemographic and passive …

  • Passive Smoking Is Associated with Multiple Heavy Metal Concentrations among Housewives in Shanxi Province, China

Open Access•Huiting Chen, Jigen et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

  • Association of Rare Earth Elements with Passive Smoking among Housewives in Shanxi Province, China

Open Access•Jigen, Huiting Chen et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

We concluded that passive smoking might be associated with increased exposure to REEs among rural housewives

  • An Evaluation of Exposure to 18 Toxic and/or Essential Trace Elements Exposure in Maternal and Cord Plasma during Pregnancy at Advanced Maternal Age

Open Access•Tingfei Gu, Xiaoqian Jia et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

Pregnant women of advanced maternal age (AMA) are vulnerable to exposure to the surrounding environment. Assessment of trace elements in pregnant women living in specific areas is important for biomonitoring. However, exposure levels and variation patterns during pregnancy remains controversial and attracts extensive public concern. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate exposure of 18 toxic and/or essential trace elements in maternal plasma and in pair…

  • Effects of prenatal micronutrients supplementation timing on pregnancy‐induced hypertension: Secondary analysis of a double‐blind randomized controlled trial

Open Access•Yingying Liu, Nan Li et al.•ARTICLE•Maternal and Child Nutrition•2021

In this secondary analysis of data from a double-blind randomized controlled trial (clinicaltrials.gov identifier: NCT00133744) of micronutrient supplementation (multiple micronutrients [MMN], iron-folic acid [IFA] and folic acid [FA] alone), we examined the potential modifying effect of gestational age at enrolment on the association of antenatal supplementation and pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH). We included 18,775 nulliparous pregnant wo…

  • Effects of Rare Earth Elements on Blood Pressure and Their Exposure Biomarkers: Evidence from Animal Experiments

Open Access•Yiming Pang, Jianjun Jiang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2021

Solid fuel combustion is an important source of the release of rare earth elements ( REEs ) into the ambient environment, resulting in potential adverse effects on human cardiovascular health. Our study aimed to identify reliable exposure biomarkers of REE intake and their potential role in blood pressure change. A total of 24 rats were administered with 14 REE chlorides at four doses (six rats per group). Fur samples were collected both before a…

  • Association between tea drinking and plasma folate concentration among women aged 18–30 years in China

Open Access•Xiaoqian Jia, Mengyuan Ren et al.•ARTICLE•Public Health Nutrition•2021

Objective: Association was found between tea and neural tube defects. However, few studies investigated the relationship between tea consumption and blood folate levels. We aimed to investigate the association between tea consumption and plasma folate concentrations among women aged 18–30 years in different ethnicities of China. Design: Data were obtained from a national cross-sectional study conducted from 2005 to 2006 of women aged 18–30 years …
