A Roman Timber Building on the Southwark Waterfront, London
Rescue excavations in 1987–88 on the site of Courage's Brewery, Southwark, near the River Thames in central London, uncovered the very well-preserved remains of a timber building, dated by dendrochronology to A.D. 152–53.
