Memory in Motion
China’s Korean War memory moves in and out of view, but rarely returns unchanged. This article asks how Chinese popular representations of the Korean War vary as the foreign relationships embedded in the war shift. It develops a configurational account of wartime memory, emphasizing activation, selection, and mediation across state priorities, nationalist repertoires, and media institutions. Drawing on a near-comprehensive corpus of theatrically …
Anti-phasic oscillatory development for speech and noise processing in cochlear implanted toddlers
Human brain demonstrates amazing readiness for speech and language learning at birth, but the auditory development preceding such readiness remains unknown. Cochlear implanted (CI) children (n = 67; mean age 2.77 year ± 1.31 SD; 28 females) with prelingual deafness provide a unique opportunity to study this stage. Using functional near-infrared spectroscopy, it was revealed that the brain of CI children was irresponsive to sounds at CI hearing on…
Legitimacy-seeking
This paper proposes a conceptual and analytical framework of states’ legitimacy-seeking to comprehensively investigate the motivation behind China’s climate and environment policy. While previous research has largely overlooked political factors that underlie China’s climate policy, this paper argues that these factors are crucial in understanding China’s policy changes, which are evident at both domestic and international levels. By examining so…
Diffusion Abnormality in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Patients With Sleep Disorders
TLE patients with sleep disorders have different DKI parameters than individuals who do not have sleep issues. During this process, the kurtosis parameter (MK) was more sensitive than the tensor parameters (MD, FA) in detecting the patient's aberrant white matter diffusion. DKI may be a better choice for in vivo investigation of anomalous craniocerebral water diffusion
Research on Further-Supporting Mechanism of Academic Science and Technology Competition Achievements for Science and Engineering Majors
Based on the relevant national policies on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (hereinafter referred to as I&E) education, the formulation of further-suppor- ting policies for excellent competition achievements in Qilu University of Technology is studied in this paper. Additionally, the exhibition platform of competition achievements is also explored to carry out the quality tracking and evaluation system for further project-supporting. Theoretically…
The Effect of Male Sexual Abstinence Periods on the Clinical Outcomes of Fresh Embryo Transfer Cycles Following Assisted Reproductive Technology
A sexual abstinence period (SAP) lasting for 2–7 days is recommended before undertaking semen analyses. However, there is no consensus regarding the length of the SAP for couples using assisted reproductive technology (ART). Therefore, a meta-analysis was performed to compare the effect of short SAPs (less than 4 days) and long SAPs (4–7 days) on the clinical outcomes of fresh embryo transfer cycles after ART. A total of four studies were include…
Evaluation of hypoglycemic activity of the polysaccharides extracted from Lycium barbarum
A study was undertaken to evaluate the hypoglycemic activity of polysaccharide extracted from Lycium barbarum (LBP). The various parameters studied included body weight (bw), fasting blood glucose levels (FBG), total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) in diabetic and normal mice. LBP treatment (20, 40 mg/ kg body weight) for 28 days resulted in a significant decrease in the concentration of FBG, TC and TG in diabetes mellitus mice. Furthermor…
