  • Total factor productivity dynamics and the artificial intelligence paradox

    Open Access•Marinko Škare, Małgorzata Porada-Rochoń et al.•ARTICLE•JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES•2025•References: 6

This paper investigates the artificial intelligence (AI) productivity paradox using total factor productivity (TFP) from 1890 to 2022 and fractional integration and long-memory econometric methods. We find that total factor productivity gains from AI investments may be delayed and diffuse nonlinearly, following long-memory patterns similar to those of previous technological revolutions, resulting in a paradox of long lags, not a lack of innovatio…

  • The impact of energy price dynamics on artificial intelligence adoption

    Open Access•Marinko Škare, Małgorzata Porada-Rochoń et al.•ARTICLE•Economics & Sociology•2025•References: 5

This research examines the impact of energy price fluctuations and renewable power systems on the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technology across 28 OECD member states from 1980 to 2023. The research employs the Pooled Mean Group estimator with error correction (PMG-ECM) to analyze a balanced panel of 898 country-year observations, which assesses how electricity prices and renewable energy generation affect AI patent activity. The rese…

However, there is limited primary research on labor market stakeholders who experienced significant changes in border regions. The aim of this study is to explore the perceptions and experiences of labor market experts, especially entrepreneurs, regarding…

  • Financial and economic development link in transitional economies

    Open Access•Marinko Škare, Małgorzata Porada-Rochoń•ARTICLE•Oeconomia Copernicana•2019

Research background: The relationship between financial development and economic growth has been attracting attention in the field of economics since the times of the ?great moderation?. Previous empirical studies still fail to put forward a general conclusion on whether and how financial development affects economic growth. This is particularly true due to the lack of empirical research on the matter in question for countries in transition. Purp…
