Urban form, socio-climatic drivers, and air pollution dynamics
Using a Generalized Additive Model (GAM) framework and satellite-derived pollutant measurements, this research studies the contribution of socio-climatic parameters and urban form to air pollution in 32 Iranian cities to explain linear and nonlinear associations. After retrieving high-resolution satellite-based air quality data from Tropospheric Monitoring Instrument (TROPOMI) aboard Sentinel-5, they were integrated with different indicators, e.g…
Multivariate analysis of dynamic correlations between urban form and air pollution
A hybrid GIS-OWA and Danp method for the identification and evaluation of ecotourism attractions
Patterns and determinants of human-carnivore conflicts in Central Iran
This article assessed the patterns and determinants of human-carnivore conflicts and local attitudes toward carnivores in 18 villages in eastern Isfahan Province, Central Iran. Livestock depredation by carnivores was common, representing a total loss of 3% and 13% of sheep and poultry population, respectively. Over 93% depredation events were attributed to the gray wolf. Households and herders held negative attitudes toward the gray wolf due to t…
