This study draws on two complementary frameworks to analyze employability from a spiritually informed viewpoint. The first is the protean career model, which emphasizes an individual-driven approach to career success, and focuses on personal fulfillment, adaptability, and self-directed growth. The second is rooted in a traditional Hindu philosophy: the Triguna framework, which provides an indigenous perspective on human qualities and spiritual te…
Development and Validation of Workplace Spirituality Scale in a South Asian Context
This study aimed to develop and validate a workplace spirituality (WPS) scale tailored to a South Asian context. The scale’s initial item pool was generated by combining insights from a qualitative study and extant WPS scales. The item pool was subjected to face validity checks, member feedback and expert evaluation. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis resulted in a 29-item WPS scale with six dimensions: altruism, interpe…

Drawing on MacIntyre’s virtue ethics and Moore’s concept of virtuous corporate character, we identify six principles (serving, attuning, trusting, needing, rethinking, and common sense) and six manifestations (mean…
Stress experienced by active members of trade unions
The literature presents role conflict, role ambiguity and role overload as psychological stressors which arise when a person plays conflicting roles, receives conflicting signals of what the environment expects of him, or both. Complexity increases when a role or a plurality of roles involves more activities and when a person functions in more than a single system (environment) and hence is faced with a variety of role senders. Research into this…
