  • The sheep that god lost

Tuğba Bayar•ARTICLE•Journal of Southeast European and…•2025

The world witnessed the forceful repulsion of undocumented migrants when the Turkish government unilaterally repealed the EU-Turkey Deal in the Spring of 2020 and opened its border to allow migrants to reach the Greek border. In general, the rights of undocumented migrants are widely abused, particularly during migrants’ journeys towards asylum applications and pending status. Tuğba Bayar, Murat Bayar•ARTICLE•Global Governance A Review of…•2025•References: 11

Unilateral withdrawals from multilateral international treaties ( MIT s) constitute a substantial state behavior that offers insights into interstate cooperation and dynamics of treaty regimes. Open Access•Tuğba Bayar•ARTICLE•Turkish Studies•2023•Cited by: 2•References: 14

To compensate for its loss of power and to consolidate its voter base, the government took some steps fo…

Open Access•Tuğba Bayar, Tuğba Özden Bayar•CHAPTER•Wiley Blackwell Encyclopedia of…•2017

Oligopoly indicates a market form in which a few significant companies – oligopolists – dominate. The oligopolists determine the prices by observing and imitating each other, but without any collusion. The prices remain as high as in a monopoly and, to a large extent, the prices remain constant. The situation is not against competition law since the firms do not conclude explicit agreements.

Open Access•Tuğba Bayar, Tuğba Özden Bayar•CHAPTER•Wiley Blackwell Encyclopedia of…•2017

The industrial relations field focuses on the tripartite relationship among trade unions/syndicates, employees, and employers. Industrial relations started after the Industrial Revolution, when the workers began to demand improved working conditions and formed syndicates to advocate their rights. The theory of industrial relations developed as the world was faced with the problems of “labors” (commodity model of labor) after industrialization. Th…

Feudalism is a political, social, and economic system that dominated medieval Europe. In this system, the upper class administers the lands of the king and builds up a structure that facilitates communication between the king and the commons. Lords lease lands for cultivation and in return they receive military protection as well as tax and products. The lowest class is made up of workers, villeins, and peasants that are the poorest in this syste…
