Motivation, gender, and subject specialisation as predictors of first-year preservice teachers’ satisfaction and planned persistence
The current study uses the Fit-Choice scale to examine teaching subject specialisation and gender differences concerning 1st-year Chilean preservice teachers’ motivations and perceptions of the profession and their relationship to satisfaction with teaching as a career choice and intention to persist.
