  • A teleconnection pathway linking cross-basin extremes triggered the record-breaking 2024 marine heatwave in the East China Seas

Open Access•Yanzhi Zhou, Pengfei Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Research Letters•2026

In 2024, a record-breaking marine heatwave (MHW) occurred in the East China Seas (ECSs), lasting four months and featuring consecutive 21 d periods exceeding the extreme heatwave threshold. Based on a mixed–layer heat budget analysis, this study identifies the dominant contribution of increased shortwave radiation, which is closely linked to atmospheric high–pressure anomalies. These high-pressure anomalies were established via a teleconnection p…

  • The correlation analysis of WeChat usage and depression among the middle-aged and elderly in China: The mediating role of social participation

Open Access•Gaoling Wang, Jing Duan et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

Open Access•Jing Wei, Haibo Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Theory and Practice in Language…•2022

Intelligibility and comprehensibility in English learners’ pronunciation plays a vital role in effective communication. • A Genre Analysis of English and Chinese Legal Research Article Abstracts: A Corpus-based Approach

Open Access•Jing Duan, Jing Wei•ARTICLE•Journal of Language Teaching and…•2021

Research article (RA) abstracts are generally viewed as the gateway to know the gist and major findings of a study. They also function as a “promotional” genre to attract readers’ interest and increase readership so as to better engage the authors in the academic communities. Although RA abstracts as a genre have been gaining more attention over the years, there is still a lack of study on RA abstracts in the field of law, let alone cross-linguis…
