Understanding compound extreme precipitations preconditioned by heatwaves over China under climate change
Compared with individual heatwaves or storm events, the compound extreme precipitations preconditioned by heatwaves (CHEPs) usually amplify their adverse repercussions on both ecosystems and society. However, little is known about the physical mechanisms of generations, especially considering precipitation types triggered by various factors and synoptic patterns. By classifying extreme precipitations based on duration, we conduct an event-based a…
Future socio-ecosystem productivity threatened by compound drought–heatwave events
Prevalence of body dissatisfaction and its effects on health-related quality of life among primary school students in Guangzhou, China
BD is as common in children as in adolescents and adults and might be independently associated with HRQoL impairment. The present findings suggest that the current epidemic of BD is a threat to the health of primary school children in China, and prevention programmes for this population should be implemented in the future
