Edwards Personal Preference Schedule Scores of Rural High School Students
A sample of 559 males and 986 females enrolled in three Wyoming High Schools were administered the Edwards Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS). Percentile equivalents of the EPPS scores were derived for both males and females. No significant differences in mean scores of Edwards' college sample and the present high school sample were discerned. Sex differences on each of the scales did not uniformly follow those reported for Edwards' college samp…
A Factor Analytic Study of the Construct Validity of the Pictorial Test of Intelligence
High intercorrelations among the six subtests of the Pictorial Test of Intelligence (PTI) raise questions regarding the construct validity of the instrument. An analysis of past research, through an examination of convergent and discriminant validity using a multitrait-multimethod design to compare PTI subtests and subtests of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, failed to provide evidence for the adequacy of PTI subtests as measures of …

The statistically significant discriminant-function suggests the Ames inventory can be employed as a screening device when selecting members of a religious community and also as a point of departure in the discussion of the implications of the decision to …

Concurrent Validity of the Quick Test
27 Ss in a diagnostic clinic for mental retardation were administered the QT and the WISC. The intercorrelations between the QT individual and combination forms were extremely high. Significant rs were obtained between the QT and Picture Arrangement, Coding, Performance Scale scores, and Full Scale scores. The magnitude of the rs, the speed and ease of administration, suggests the QT can be used for deriving an IQ and screening patients in mental…
