Climate-adaptive morphological evolution of rural settlements from antiquity to the present: A multiscale analysis based on historical data, perception surveys, and microclimate modeling
A new quantitative method for evaluating the impact of garden greening on outdoor thermal environment in summer - A case study of Japanese residential gardens
Increased antipsychotic drug concentration in hospitalized patients with mental disorders following Covid-19 infection: A call for attention
Antipsychotic concentrations in hospitalized patients with mental disorders increased after COVID-19 infection, that may be related not only to COVID-19, but also to the use of Chinese patent medicines during infection. The pre-infection concentration and types of antipsychotics, patient's gender, and combination of traditional Chinese medicine or antibiotics, were factors found to correlate with increased drug concentrations and necessitate dose…
Supporting sustainable rural development through numerical simulation: A case study in Northwest China
Does Advanced Human Capital Structure Provide Positive Feedback on Public Health? Evidence From China
This paper explores the relationship of advanced human capital structure with public health applying the panel threshold regression model in China. The empirical results highlight that the advanced human capital structure has a non-linear single threshold effect on population health indicators. The health-promoting effect of advanced human capital structure is significantly weaker when exceeding the threshold. These asymmetric effects are strongl…
Supporting Design to Develop Rural Revitalization through Investigating Village Microclimate Environments: A Case Study of Typical Villages in Northwest China
China has the largest number of villages in the world, and research on rural microclimate will contribute to global climate knowledge. A three-by-three grid method was developed to explore village microclimates through field measurement and ENVI-met simulation. A regression model was used to explore the mechanistic relationship between microclimate and spatial morphology, and predicted mean vote (PMV) was selected to evaluate outdoor thermal comf…
