Young children's memories can be reframed to be less distressing. Parents and the way they reminisce about past events with their children play a key role in the formation of pain memories. A novel parent-led memory-reframing intervention changed children's memories of post-surgical pain to be less dis…

  • A Brief Mindfulness Intervention for Parents and Children before Pediatric Venipuncture

Open Access•Rachel L Moline, Kaytlin Constantin et al.•ARTICLE•Children•2022

The intervention did not reduce child pain or fear but reduced parent distress. It appeared most helpful for parents catastrophizing about their child's pain, which is noteworthy as these children are prone to worse outcomes

  • Postbabyhankypanky

    Open Access•Natalie O Rosen, Megan D Muise et al.•ARTICLE•Archives of Sexual Behavior•2021

Despite the many sexual concerns experienced by new parents, and their reported desire for more information on this topic, both parents and healthcare providers remain reticent to broach the subject. The goal of this project was to disseminate evidence-based knowledge from our prior research in a way that was accessible, engaging, and would spark further interest and communication for both new parents and healthcare providers. We convened a multi…
