  • Impact of pregnancy on women with eating disorder symptoms

    Open Access•Cecilia Brundin Pettersson, J Ericson et al.•ARTICLE•Medical Humanities•2026

There is a significant knowledge gap concerning how women with an ongoing eating disorder (ED) perceive the impact of pregnancy on their ED symptoms. Existing research seldom addresses how the unique physiological and psychological changes during pregnancy are experienced in relation to the course and expression of an ED. • The Social Safeness and Pleasure Scale (SSPS)

Open Access•Martina Isaksson, Maria Holmbom Goh et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Psychology•2022

Little is known about how adolescents with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) experience participating in group therapy, an important factor to consider when developing treatment methods for this age group. This study aimed to explore how adolescents with ADHD experience participating in a structured skills training group program based on dialectical behavioral therapy. Semi‐structured interviews were conducted with 20 adolescents (1…

  • The Relationship Between Daytime Salivary Melatonin and Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Young Adults Seeking Psychiatric Care

OBJECTIVE: The pathophysiology of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is not completely understood, although we do know that patients with IBS have a high prevalence of psychiatric comorbidity (mainly depression and anxiety disorders). Melatonin, produced in the gastrointestinal tract, influences gut motility. Psychiatric conditions are associated with circadian disturbances in peripheral melatonin levels. This study aimed to investigate associations …
