Development and Evaluation of a Digital Health Intervention to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes in Primary Care
Digital health interventions can effectively prevent T2DM and reduce important T2DM risk factors such as overweight or hypertension. In Spain, this type of intervention is understudied. Moreover, there is controversy regarding the type of digital health interventions that are more effective. Findings from this study may contribute to address T2DM prevention, through a low-cost and easily implementable intervention
Less-PHARMA Study
Potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) increases adverse drug reactions and mortality, especially in excessively polymedicated patients. General practitioners are often in charge of this process. Some tools have been created to support them in this matter. This study aimed to measure the amount of potentially inappropriate medication among excessively polymedicated patients using several supporting tools and assess the feasibility of these to…
Evaluating the Implementation of a Multicomponent Intervention Consisting of Education and Feedback on Reducing Benzodiazepine Prescriptions by General Practitioners
We identified constructs that could explain differences in the efficacy in implementation of the intervention. This information is relevant for the design of successful strategies for implementation of the intervention
Multiple health behaviour change primary care intervention for smoking cessation, physical activity and healthy diet in adults 45 to 75 years old (Eira study)
ClinicalTrials.gov , NCT03136211 . Registered 2 May 2017, "retrospectively registered
Complex multiple risk intervention to promote healthy behaviours in people between 45 to 75 years attended in primary health care (Eira study)
ClinicalTrials.gov , NCT03136211 .Retrospectively registered on May 2, 2017
Psychosocial and sociodemographic predictors of attrition in a longitudinal study of major depression in primary care
BACKGROUND: Few data exist on the psychosocial factors associated with attrition in longitudinal surveys. This study was undertaken to determine psychosocial and sociodemographic predictors of attrition from a longitudinal study of the onset and persistence of episodes of major depression in primary care. METHODS: A systematic random sample of general practice attendees was recruited in seven Spanish provinces between October 2005 and February 20…
Predicting the onset and persistence of episodes of depression in primary health care. The predictD-Spain study
The items and questionnaires were reliable and data quality control was excellent. When we eventually obtain our risk index for the onset and persistence of depression, we will be able to determine the individual risk of each patient evaluated in primary health care
