  • Educational challenges – the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on dental students’ stressors in one-year observation period

    Open Access•Elżbieta Zarzecka-Francica, Andrzej Gala et al.•ARTICLE•Critical Public Health•2025

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the inadequacy of medical education structures in preparing for global biological crises. In spite of time passing from outbrake of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the question is actual. Objectives were to: perform the Dental Environmental Stress Questionnaire a year after the pandemic outbreak (DES 2021), compare DES 2021 results with obtained one year earlier (DES 2020), and analyze correlations between DES domains and a…

  • The Influence of Preventive Activities on Stress Perception among Dentistry Students in the Period of the Covid-19 Pandemic

    Open Access•Elżbieta Zarzecka-Francica, Andrzej Gala et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2022

The studied preventive activities reduced stress perception with different levels of intensity. The highest-ranked activities were external activities. One exception was the theoretical classes held online, an internal activity. Due to the lower impact of the internal activities and the ability to modify them by the educators, there is a need to strengthen their effectiveness. The possibility of monitoring and tailoring some preventive activities…

  • Analysis of the Hardness of Soft Relining Materials for Removable Dentures

    Open Access•Ewa Białożyt-Bujak, Magdalena Wyszyńska et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2021

For most silicone materials, only small changes in hardness were found in the range of 0.7 (Ufi Gel SC) to 3.3 (Sofreliner Tough Medium) on the Shore A scale. The exception was GC Reline Soft, for which a marked increase in hardness was noted. All materials based on acrylates were characterized by successive increase in hardness over time. However, in the case of the Vertex Soft material, the increase in hardness was relatively small (5.5 ShA)
