  • Fight back against the stress

    Open Access•Ruimeng WANG, Xinqi Lin•ARTICLE•Journal of Adolescence•2023

INTRODUCTION: This study investigates whether and how parental job insecurity motivates emerging adults' career networking behaviors. Exploratory factors analysis yielded a two-factor scale of commitment-focused HRAs (alpha = 0.806) and control-focused HRAs (alpha = 0.836). Commitment-focused HRAs are service …

We investigated the extent to which receiving developmental feedback from the work supervisor increased employee confidence to be proactive in expressing promotive voice (e.g., offering advice) and prohibitive voice (e.g., point out problems or criticising), and the employee organisation-based self-esteem mediation in that relationship. Our study sample consisted of 258 employees (female = 41.96%; mean age = 7.94 years, SD = 33.65 years, age rang…

He Ding, Xinqi Lin•ARTICLE•Journal of Psychology in Africa•2019

This study attempted to explore the impact of core self-evaluations (CSE) on employee strengths use, as well as the moderating effect of perceived organisational support for strengths use (POS for strengths use) on the relationship. We hypothesised and tested a moderated conceptual model drawing on a three-wave employee-level survey involving 189 employees of Chinese firms (females = 44.4%; managers = 43.9%; aged between 23 and 30 years old = 53.…
