Smoking trends in Poland (2012–2021)—insights from the comprehensive cardiovascular risk prevention program
Background Understanding smoking prevalence trends across demographic groups is crucial for effective public health interventions. Monitoring such trends helps tailor prevention strategies and allocate resources to the most affected populations. These insights support the design of more equitable and effective tobacco control policies. Aim This study analyzes data from the Comprehensive Cardiovascular Risk Prevention Program (CCRPP) in Poland (20…
Trends in cardiovascular risk factors in poland
Improvements in smoking prevalence, TC, LDL-C, and SCORE values reflect progress in reducing cardiovascular risk factors. However, persistent physical inactivity, overweight, and rising glucose levels highlight the need for intensified preventive efforts targeting metabolic and lifestyle risk factors
The Association between Nutritional Status and Length of Hospital Stay among Patients with Hypertension
The study revealed that with regard to the nutritional status of hypertensive patients, being either underweight or obese was associated with longer LOS. Additional factors that related to prolonged LOS were lower LDL and HDL levels and higher CRP concentrations
The Impact of Clinical, Biochemical, and Echocardiographic Parameters on the Quality of Life in Patients with Heart Failure with Reduced Ejection Fraction
Despite significant advances in HF diagnosis and treatment over the recent decades, patients still characterize poor long-term prognosis with many recurrent hospitalizations and reduced health-related quality of life (HRQoL). We aimed to check the potential relationship between clinical, biochemical, or echocardiographic parameters and HRQoL in patients with HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). We included 152 adult patients hospitalized du…
