이 연구는 2022년 20대 대통령 선거에서 주요 남성 정치인들의 ‘젠더 포퓰리즘’ 수행을 비판적으로 분석한다. 이 시기 유독 강력한 발언력을 지닌 인물이었던 당시 국민의힘 윤석열 후보와 이준석 당 대표는 페이스북을 활용해 “여성가족부 폐지”를 핵심 공약으로 제시하는 등 젠더 이슈에 관한 자신들의 입장을 뚜렷하게 밝혀왔다. 이에 언론이 뜨겁게 반응하며 페이스북 발언의 정치적 효과가 극대화되었다. 이 연구는 두 사람의 페이스북 게시글에 관한 비판적 담론 분석을 통하여, 이들의 반페미니즘적 정치적 양식의 모습을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 이들은 젊은 남성을 대변하고 페미니스트를 타자화했으며, 이러한 적대적 단순화는 여성가족부 폐지를 통해 청년 남성의 지위 불안 문제를 즉각적으로 해결할 수 있다는 인상을 주었다. 또한, 비남성의 권리 및 성평등 의제는 선별적으로 포섭 및 배제하였다. 구조적 젠더 불평등…
