    한국교육의 중요한 특징 중의 하나는 사립학교의 비중이 크다는 점이다. 특히 중,고등학교의 경우 사립학교의 비중이 크기 때문에 평준화 시행 때에도 사립학교를 포함할 수밖에 없었다. 최근에 사립학교의 준공립화 또는 사립학교 공영화를 주장하는 이유도 사립학교의 비중이 크기 때문이다. 본 연구는 사립학교의 팽창 현상과 그 요인에 주목하면서, 특히 기독교사립학교가 언제, 어느 정도 팽창되었으며, 그 요인은 무엇인지를 분석하려고 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 기독교사립학교의 정의와 성격을 규명하고, 해방 이후 기독교사립학교의 역사를 정초기(1945-1960), 확산기(1961-1975), 전환기(1976-2016), 갈등기(2017-현재)의 네 시기로 구분하며, 각 시기에 따른 사립학교 및 기독교사립학교의 팽창 현상을 파악하고, 그 팽창의 요인을 분석하려고 한다. 연구 결과에 의하면 기독교사립학교는 확산기인 19…

    최근 박용진 의원이 대표로 발의한 사립학교법 일부개정법률안을 비롯한 여러 가지 사학법 개정안(정청래, 박찬대, 서동용, 권인숙, 조승래 대표발의)들이 국회에 발의되었다. 이러한 사립학교법 개정법률안들은 대부분 사학의 공립화 및 공영화를 공고히 하는 방안들을 담고 있다. 사학에 만연한 비리들을 제도적으로 방지하고 공교육에서 큰 비중을 차지하는 사립학교의 공공성을 강화하기 위한 것이 사립학교법 개정의 취지이다. 특히 박용진 의원의 개정안은 학교법인의 이사 정수의 2분의 1에 해당하는 이사를 개방이사로 선임하도록 하고, 학교의 장을 임용할 때 대학평의원회 또는 학교운영위원회에서 2배수 추천한 인사 중에서 임용하도록 하는 등 사립학교의 자율적 운영에 심각한 영향을 끼칠 수 있는 내용을 담고 있다. 특히 사립학교 중에서도 건학이념이 존립의 기반이라고 할 수 있는 종교계 사립학교의 경우는 사학법 개정으로 …
