  • Mapping genomic loci implicates genes and synaptic biology in schizophrenia

Open Access•Vassily Trubetskoy, Antonio F Pardiñas et al.•ARTICLE•Nature•2022

  • Effects of Immune Activation during Early or Late Gestation on N-Methyl-d-Aspartate Receptor Measures in Adult Rat Offspring

Open Access•Tasnim Rahman, Katerina Zavitsanou et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2017

MIA may alter glutamatergic signaling in cortical and hippocampal regions via alterations in NMDAR indices; however, this was independent of gestational timing. Male MIA offspring have exaggerated changes in NMDAR compared to females in both the cortex and striatum. The MIA-induced increase in NR2A may decrease brain plasticity and contribute to the exacerbated behavioral changes reported in males and indicate that the brains of male offspring ar…

  • Quantitative analysis of burnout and its associated factors in Aids nursing

Lydia Bennett, Patricia T Michie et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS Care•1991

A study was conducted to examine burnout and associated factors in the nursing care of AIDS patients in the hospital setting. Oncology nurses served as a comparison group and 64 subjects completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Although nurses working in the area of Oncology suffered burnout with greater frequency, nurses working in the area of AIDS showed greater intensity of burnout after adjustment for frequency of burnout. The study identifie…
