Gender differences in the perception of organizational influence tactics
A short incident describing a political influence attempt was given to 152 management level and professional employees. Subjects were then asked to complete short attitude scales pertaining to the characteristics of the actor and the incident. The experimental factorial design included three factors (1) sex of subject, (2) sex of influencing party, (3) sex of target of influence. The Definition of Organizational Politics: A Review
A survey of the literature on organizational politics (OP) reveals a lack of consensus among authors on a definition of this term. This paper presents a review and discussion of the various OP definitions in an attempt to further clarify the nature of this intriguing and important field of study. The definition elements are discussed in terms of their implications for future research toward the understanding of OP in work organizations

The relationship between leadership style and leniency in merit rating of subordinates was examined in this study. The sample of 35 superiors were in an industrial plant in Israel.
