Fatty acid profile variations of Alpine goat’s milk in response to detoxified Argania spinosa press cake supplementation
The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of incorporating detoxified Argane press cake in goats’ diet on milk fatty acids profiles. The use of the detoxification process presents a new way to use Argane by-products. Obtained results showed that goat’s milk fat of Argane diet by-product could produce a greater proportion of unsaturated fatty acid. This research work provides evidence that the inclusion of Argane feedstuff affects the milk fa…
Chromatographic appraisal of fatty acid composition in camel milk following Argania spinosa’s inclusion in the camel feed
The paper reports an evaluation of the effect of camel diet enriched with press cake and pulp from the Argane tree in the camel feed, and its effect on the subsequently produced milk. Following a chromatographic screening, the ANOVA test showed a significant difference in the fatty acid (FA) content depending on the diet management (P < 0.05). Monounsaturated FA (MUSAT) and polyunsaturated FA (FA) of the camel milk of the Argane Diet (AD) were hi…
Effect of Argane tree by-products on microbiological quality of Moroccan camel milk
The paper reports work in the Ounagha region (Essaouira-Morocco) on a camel feed comprising press cake and pulp from the Argane tree. The enriched diet improved the microbial quality of the produced milk. This diet could help producers to develop a more nourishing, uncontaminated product in Morocco where camel milk is a significant dairy product
Incorporating detoxified Argania spinosa press cake into the diet of Alpine goats affects the antioxidant activity and levels of polyphenol compounds in their milk
Goat’s milk is an excellent source of antioxidants that resist oxidative stress. This paper reports on a study of Alpine goats, showing that introducing detoxified Argane press cake (DAPC) into their diet affected the antioxidant activity and polyphenol compounds in their milk during lactation. The results showed that the bioactive compounds of goat milk vary significantly (p < 0.001) depending on both their feed and milk lactation stage. The mil…
