A Ritual and Memorial Complex from the Final La Tène Period at the Kartal Site
This article presents a collection of Late La Tène period artifacts discovered on the outskirts of the Kartal hillfort on the left bank of the lower Danube. Of key issue here is a demonstration of the ceremony of checking of the arrow. In the opinion of the authors, in this case, an episode is depicted from …

Opowieść Tacyta o przebiegu wojny bosforskiej w latach 45–49 n.e. to jedyne pisemne świadectwo o dziejach bosporańskiej armii w pierwszych wiekach naszej ery. Sojusz Kotysa i Rzymian z sarmackim plemieniem Aorsów tłumaczy się koniecznością użycia kawalerii, która mogłaby sprostać innym koczownikom pod względem liczebności i jakości broni.
