Haplotypes of α‐globin gene regulatory element in two Brazilian native populations
The α‐major regulatory element (α‐MRE), located 40 Kb far upstream of the α‐globin gene cluster on chromosome 16, is involved in the regulation of human α‐globin genes expression.
