  • On the Issue of the Migration History of Italians of the Crimea. A Study Involving Genetic and Quasi-Genetic Markers

    Open Access•N V Balinova, Stefania Zini et al.•ARTICLE•Sibirskie istoricheskie…•2025

This article presents the results of a comprehensive anthropogenetic analysis of a group of modern “Italians of Crimea,” who are descendants of Italian migrants from the Apennine Peninsula between the late 18th and early 20th centuries. The genetic study is based on the analysis of the prevalence of genotypes and alleles of six autosomal polymorphic genes (PAH, TH01, NOS3, SLC6A3, CCR5 and ACE) in Italians of Crimea. According to the data of five…

  • Common Ancestors of Turkic-Speaking Peoples: Genetic Aspects

    Open Access•Nailya Kh Spitsyna, N V Balinova•ARTICLE•Вестник антропологии (Herald of…•2024•References: 1

Centuries of migration contributed to the spread of Turkic-speaking peoples over vast areas — from Siberia, through Central Asia, to Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The genetic structure of the populations of the Altai-Sayan Plateau, the Yakuts (Sakha), the Siberian Tatars, the peoples of the Volga-Urals, the North Caucasus and the Gagauz of Moldova was formed as a result of systematic and random evolutionary factors. A pronounced gradient in…

  • Антропогенетические исследования в популяции эвенков (Anthropogenetic Studies of Evenk Populations)

Open Access•Nailya Kh Spitsyna, Nailya Spitsina et al.•ARTICLE•Вестник антропологии (Herald of…•2023

  • Analysis of Polymorphism of Uniparental Markers in Reindeer-Herding Populations: The Tozhu Tuvans of Russia and The Tsaatans Of Mongolia

    Open Access•N V Balinova, Murat A Dzhaubermezov1 et al.•ARTICLE•Collegium Antropologicum•2022

We analyzed the data on the variability of the Y chromosome and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) in populations of the Tsaatans of Mongolia and the Tozhu Tuvans of Russia. The populations studied are characterized by low genetic diver¬sity for both marker systems. The analysis of Y chromosome haplogroups in the Tsaatan and Tozhu revealed three hap¬logroups in the Tsaatan and seven haplogroups in the Tozhu. The composition of the haplogroups is coherent …

Introduction. This study is devoted to intergroup variability of body circumferences, degree and to-pography of subcutaneous fat deposition in samples of young men of different ethnic backgrounds. Materials and Methods. We used anthropometric survey data from Russian men from various regions of Russia, indigenous Altaians and Tuvans from the Altai and Tyva Republics measured in the period from 2015 to 2019.
