Creating Researcher-Practitioner Partnerships in Counseling
Action research has long been heralded as the solution to narrowing the gap between counseling research and practice. An Omnibus Synthesis of Author and Article Publication Characteristics in 22 Counseling Journals from 2010 to 2019
Articles published in 22 counseling journals from 2010–2019 were compared on 26 author and article characteristics. Women now constitute majorities of authorship and counseling journals are publishing larger proportions of research articles, 63% of which used quantitative approaches and about 11% of which studied counseling interventions
A Grounded Theory of Counselor Educators' Academic Leadership Development
Counselor educators are well-equipped to serve as academic leaders, yet little is known about what factors influence their engagement experiences. This grounded theory provides a theoretical model of academic leadership engagement based on interviews with 20 counselor educators with academic leadership experience. Implications for facilitating academic leadership engagement are provided

Consequences of Sexism in Counselor Education
In this article we used collective analytic autoethnography to explore experiences and perceptions of sexism among five counselor educators. Based on analysis of narrative data, we introduced a model that illustrates how sexism was experienced and given meaning by participants. The Lived Experiences of Men in a Master's Counseling Program
Using phenomenological methodology, the authors explored the experiences of 11 men in a master's-level counseling program. Participants described the challenges and advantages of being a minority in number, being in a relational environment, and having an awareness of a patriarchal system. These findings suggest the importance of counselor educator awareness of the unique barriers male students face

The Influence of Supervisor Multicultural Competence on the Supervisory Working Alliance, Supervisee Counseling Self-Efficacy, and Supervisee Satisfaction With Supervision
We developed and tested a mediation model depicting relationships among supervisor multicultural competence, the supervisory working alliance, supervisee counseling self-efficacy, and supervisee satisfaction with supervision. Results of structural equation modeling showed that supervisor multicultural competence was related to the supervisory working alliance and that alliance, in turn, was related to supervisee satisfaction with supervision
