Efectos del prejuicio sexual en la salud mental de gays y lesbianas, en la ciudad de Antofagasta, Chile

Este artículo caracteriza diferencias en relación al prejuicio sexual en la salud mental de personas homosexuales y heterosexuales. En el estudio se incluyeron medidas de Bienestar Psicológico y Bienestar Social, así como medidas de Distrés Psicológico (SCL-90-R). La muestra con la que se ha trabajado está compuesta por 110 personas (55 homosexuales y 55 heterosexuales), cuyas edades fluctuan entre 18 y 49 años. Si bien no se encontraron diferencias en la salud mental de personas homosexuales y heterosexuales, sí se reportaron diferencias en los análisis segmentados por sexo y orientación sexual. Por su parte, en este estudio, el prejuicio sexual apareció relacionado significativamente con algunas de las dimensiones de salud mental indagadas
