A proteção ambiental está conectada à proteção do ser humano, o que implica na busca de interfaces entre os dois regimes, sendo esse o objetivo do presente artigo. A convergência entre meio ambiente e direitos humanos será esboçada a partir das origens do direito internacional ambiental, prosseguindo pela análise dos instrumentos internacionais, tentando-se evidenciar que ambos os sistemas representam um interesse comum da humanidade
