The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) introduces changes to Brazilian education, establishing essential competencies for the 21st century. This article investigates teachers' perceptions of this document. To this end, a group of teachers participating in a continuing education program on digital culture responded to an online questionnaire with open and closed questions during the first week of the course. The responses were analyzed using the thematization methodology, allowing for the identification of interpretative patterns. The results indicate that while some teachers were unfamiliar with the BNCC, others considered it a relevant initiative, though with concerns regarding curricular flexibility and implementation
