During that summer I looked at approximately one hundred and sixty works and screened many more through catalogue entries. Much of this material does not pertain directly to my search into early 18th century German dance, since many of these works either belong to the French dance literature or belong to another period. However, some works do promise to provide clues to the research topic, while others will enrich the Ohio State University Music and Dance Library holdings. The findings of this research trip combined with those of another foray projected for the summer of 1977, will provide enough material for an interesting annotated bibliography while the search for clues to early 18th century German dance style continues
