Research Article| April 01 2018 Inclusively Humane: The Promise of Local Immigration Histories of Inclusion and Exclusion Ana Elizabeth Rosas Ana Elizabeth Rosas Ana Elizabeth Rosas teaches Chicano/Latino studies at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). She holds a doctorate in History from the University of Southern California. Most recently, she published Abrazando El Espiritu: Bracero Families Confront the US-Mexico Border (University of California Press, 2014), which was awarded the Immigration and Ethnic History Society’s Theodore Soloutos Memorial Book Award. Her mentoring students into professions that advance the rights of immigrants has paved the way to her being awarded UCI’s Engaged Faculty Award, School of Social Sciences Most Outstanding Mentor Award, Excellence in Teaching Award, and Dynamic Woman Award.
