AbstractThis study analyses the written productions of a group of children in the third year of Primary Education in response to the reading and analysis of a book with graphic, typographic and discursive resources that foreground language. The book read aloud by the teacher was "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" (by Jon Scieszka, with illustrations by Lane Smith). The children's productions and the source text were analysed with reference both to the graphic and typographic resources and to the linguistic mechanisms used to foreground the language and to catch the reader's attention. The results showed that these textual resources became 'visible' forms for the children and served as a model to produce similar texts.Palabras clave: Alfabetizaciónescritura infantilliteratura infantilKeywords: Literacytheory of foregroundingchildren's literaturechildren's textsreading response
