This articles investigates the music culture prevalent in regions where fasil musicholds sway, with a particular focus on the performance of peşrevs within thiscultural milieu. The study aims to elucidate the performance practices, structuralcharacteristics, performance environments, and significance of peşrevs within theregional musical repertoire. Employing the descriptive survey model-aqualitative research method-the data acquired through document analysisunderwent content analysis. Within this research framework, three worksofficially registered in the TRT repertoire-Elazığ (Paşa Göçtü) Peşrevi, Konya(Çuhacıoğlu) Peşrevi, and Kayseri Peşrevi-alongside five unregistered works, including Diyarbakır Peşrevi and Mardin Peşrevi, were examined. It wasobserved that the structural forms of these pieces, often distinguished by regionalnames and central to the research, exhibit significant similarities in terms ofperformance practices, venues, and the inherent characteristics of the peşrev, aform of Turkish instrumental music. An additional significant finding of thestudy is the preservation of the fasil music culture, a tradition deeply rooted inTurkish music history, within the aforementioned regions. In the compilation, distinct musical expressions rooted in classical Turkish music and Anatolianmusic traditions were identified in Elazığ, Konya, Kayseri, Diyarbakır, andMardin. Consequently, it is evident that the repertoires of these regions havebeen profoundly shaped by the influence tradition of fasıl encountered in classicalTurkish music, with the tradition continuing to intertwine with local musicalcustoms, thereby enriching the cultural tapestry of the regions underinvestigation
