ABSTRACT: This article presents an analysis about the newspaper "A Sirene: para não esquecer", that was created by one of the actions of the collective #UmMinutoDeSirene, with the intention of producing a journal, made by those affected and for those affected. This newspaper constitutes a means of communication to carry information, reflections and questions about the Samarco/Vale/BHP tailings dam disaster. The articles were examined under the prism of the content analysis, with the aim of presenting a mapping from the editions of the newspaper "A Sirene", in order to identify the most frequent topics in the journal. We have found that the most frequent themes are those involving social and legal aspects. These are themes that are interconnected and feedback, as they relate to the problems closest to the lives of those affected who constantly denounce the violation of individual and collective rights by the company. We believe that this journalistic material qualifies as one of the important advocates for the promotion of a more comprehensive and critical discussion of mining and the consequences of the Samarco disaster in the lives of the most affected. Keywords: Social and environmental disaster; Mining; Dam; Online newspaper
