The increasing popularity of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) and the relationship of adolescent ENDS use to tobacco consumption in adulthood underscore the importance of effective prevention education. Prevention messaging relevant to youth curiosity about ENDS may serve to improve tobacco control strategies. ENDS-related questions were extracted from 10 years of transcripts of the National Institute of Drug Abuse’s Chat Day initiative, where youth engage anonymously with substance use experts. A content analysis of youth questions was completed to identify the concerns of youth and document changing ENDS nomenclature. Analysis revealed 10 topics depicting youth curiosity about ENDS and documented the changing terms youth use to refer to ENDS. These topics inform youth-focused prevention curricula by identifying content areas that resonate with youth concerns
