The imbalance between Franco-Brazilian exchanges in the film production area, which benefits France more than Brazil, can be explained by the different cultural and socio-economic contexts. An analysis of the Brazilian system can shed light on the issues surrounding policies for supporting film production. The fact that Brazilian films are distributed through existing international channels helps to explain why it is poorly represented
