Amidst global ageing and rapid technological advancement, digital inclusion of retired tourists is essential for social inclusion. This study examines retired tourists’ perceptions of digital inclusion and its impact on their behaviours, emphasising the mediating role of trust. Based on the Digital Divide Theory, the study employs a mixed-method approach. In the qualitative phase, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 25 retired tourists. The quantitative phase, involving 302 retired tourists, demonstrates that support positively affects trust and behavioural intentions. Trust mediates the relationship between perceptions of digital inclusion and behavioural intentions. This study enriches the theoretical understanding of digital inclusion by highlighting the critical role of support and trust in the adoption of digital technologies by retired tourists. It suggests enhancing digital skills, optimising user experience, and building trust to promote digital inclusion among retired tourists.
