La categoría maestro rural en los discursos de las políticas educativas enColombia

This reflection article examines the category of rural teacher in some of the educational policies in Colombia. Methodology: The category has been traced through a documentary analysis and it has been found that the definition of the rural teacher has been surrounded by the concept of urban education. Results: This reveals the marginality in the conceptualization of the category of rural teacher in Colombian educational regulations, which is related to what Foucault called ‘security dispositifs’ that serve as objects of social control of what is not defined by the norm, which in this case is the rural teacher. The aforementioned statements demonstrate the need for educational policies that make rural teachers visible on the basis of their own subjectivities
