Saint Gäbrä 'Endrsyas of Däbrä Qozàt, mentioned in Iyâsus Mo'a acts (written in the XVth century), is badly known. A visite to the monastery of Däbrä Qozât (Tchaqata, Wâllo), combined with a study of his hagiographical legend, allows us to throw ligh on this monastic figure. Through spiritual genealogies and the analysis of literary borrowings, this paper is an attempt to tell the history not so much of the saint himself but of his representations from the XVth to the XIXth century
