Why is Mexican emigration different from the previous ones? This is the question posed by Professor Huntington in his polemic article. According to the author the real question is not this, but the way the developed world (including our closest environment, the European Union) should react to its own modified demographic conditions, taking into consideration the present global conditions. Special attention has been dedicated to the analysis of the migration policies of the two affected governments, while also touching upon on the orientation of the European Union’s migration policies
